Autumn Mist

This lovely farm was just emerging from the night mist one morning when I was out trolling for good scenes. I did not stop to paint. I took photos and re-worked the composition somewhat back in the studio. It is a complex scene with many outbuildings and animals which I hope to paint agian from another angle. Besides the sprawling layout of the buildings I love the warm pasture glow under the cool mists. It is painted on Wallis Belgian Mist paper mounted on board with soft pastels.
