Crows Over the Corn
pastel
12 x 16 in. image size

Crows divide folks in to two camps. I am decidedly a fan of crows (and ravens). I love the exhuberance and noise they bring to the landscape. I think they walk around like funny people. They are very smart (for birds). And they clean up after us...they like to eat everything! It is annoying when they eat seeds I just planted, but in the same way my dog does pesky things and I still love her. Maybe I love crows partly because I am a morning person and would never consider it annoying to be awakened by loud bird voices at the crack of dawn. That is precisely what the crow-haters give for a reason.

Susquehanna County, PA.
