San Pedro River
pastel
8 x 15 in. image size

The San Pedro river runs north from Mexico and is perennially wet (sometimes a trickle). It provides a vegetative corridor which is home to animals and birds. Vermillion flycatchers were my constant companions while painting here in early April; San Pedro Riparian National Conservation Area.

April 2nd from Thirty Days - Thirty Paintings: daily plein air pastel paintings in
the Sonoita/ Elgin area of southern Arizona.
